A place where children and their families learn to thrive
Naz Kids (infant through 6th grade) exists to grow children up as mature followers of Jesus, teaching them in creative, fun, and age-appropriate ways to love God, live as a family, and go and make disciples. When you leave your child with the Naz Kids team, you can be certain that he or she will develop meaningful relationships with other children, as well as receive personal, loving attention from our team of screened and trustworthy children's volunteers.
Naz Kids also recognizes the God-given role of you, the parent(s), to raise and nurture your children in the way of godliness, and we regularly seek opportunities to partner with you to offer strategic, relevant, Bible-based instruction to your children in your home.
We would love to see you and your family at Naz Kids!
Here's what to expect when visiting Naz Kids for the first time:
First, find the children's check-in area, which is located down a short hallway on the left after you enter the main entrance to the building. There we will meet your family and check your child into our system. You will be given a guardian tag that matches you with your child. Keep the tag because you’ll need it to to pick up your child after the service. (This is a vital part of our safety policy.)
Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information (NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone):
Before Service: You can check-in your child at the children's check-in area (go left upon entering the main entrance). After signing your child in, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, your child’s identification code will appear on the screen. We ask that you exit the auditorium immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
Visalia Naz Church offers childcare during service for infants. But we also have a Parent's Viewing Room that is available for mothers and fathers with infants. This room is reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment. It is located on the southwest side of the gym at the back of the sanctuary.
Heather Henderson is our Children and Families Pastor. She cares deeply for the spiritual and physical well being of children and families, and she has had plenty of experience raising four awesome kids of her own!
Heather Denman is our Naz Nursery team leader, which she officially signed on for in 2015. Heather is someone that children love to be around, and you will often hear her referred to by the kids as "Heyah". She has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Development and an associate's degree in Medical Assistance.
