This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Prayer is a means by which humans communicate with their Creator, expressing their faith in the power of God and desire for Him to act. There is quite a body of evidence that suggests that prayer has powerful results, including the Bible (such as the verse above) and the personal testimony of a vast number of people throughout history. Maybe you have even heard a story or two yourself of prayers that were answered in miraculous ways.

When we pray, we submit our requests to God, believing in His power and the promise that He will make all things work together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). The answer may not look how you expect, but pray nonetheless, putting your trust and hope in a God who is full of love and mercy towards His people.
